How do you donate cards in Magic The Gathering?
We are always willing to accept donations of Magic: The Gathering cards. You can either do this in-person, or via mail. To donate cards in person, simply bring the cards you wish to donate to an event we are attending, and you can drop them off at our booth.
Where can I get rid of Magic cards?
There are plenty out there, from Ebay to TCGplayer and more. All of these offer a place to sell cards directly to other players in exchange for a slice of the transaction. Outside of selling locally, marketplaces are where you’ll get the most out of your cards.
What do I do with old magic cards?

A collector can get in touch with a local school and offer to donate their bulk cards to the school’s existing game clubs. Or, if there isn’t one already, donating so many Magic cards may prompt the school’s staff or students to form a brand-new club where students can play Magic.
Can a 12 year old play Magic The Gathering?
On average, the appropriate age for Magic The Gathering is 13 years old. This age recommendation comes from Wizards of the Coast, the manufactures of the game. However, many players begin learning to play at a younger age, and children as young as 4 years old have been known to start playing MTG.
Are Magic cards worth collecting?
The answer is yes! Basically, every single Magic card has a cash value, even though for most common cards they only value around $0.05-$0.10. Those cards are considered bulk, and card dealers will expect to buy them in bulk—bring a box full of them, and they can add up to $5.00 or more!
What can you do with worthless Magic cards?
If you store a ton of cards, you can simply sell them online in bulk. Like 10.000 cards for some bucks. If you simply dont care, they are literally trash. But sometimes a common becomes expensive.
Are old Magic cards still playable?
You can play them in Casual (not a “sanctioned” format, aka no events for it), Legacy, Vintage (I think?), and in EDH (also not a “sanctioned” format, but stores hold events for it, but no DCI rating). Not Standard or Modern, but those formats are pretty expensive.
Why is MTG rated 13+?
The Motion Picture Association created the PG-13 rating in 1984 because there needed to be some reform to movie ratings to warn parents of content that could be acceptable for teenagers but not younger viewers. Soon after, lots of products started adopting the same “rating” with the most notable being games.
